Featured Artist: Tony Coppage - Famine (part 3)

Depending on how old you are, you may or may not remember the famine in Africa. I believe it was in the 1970s. Watching TV with my parents as a child, images of starving people flooded our living room. It was a hard thing to watch as a kid since I didn't understand why people had to suffer. These were things beyond my young mind's comprehension. When I asked Tony about this piece of work and what he was feeling, he explained that he painted picture long ago (in the 70s) & it represents how he felt at the time and the sentiments of our global culture.
