Building Creative Outlets

Prior to my mom's ALS diagnosis, we managed a small antique booth in downtown Kannapolis, N.C. Mom had a special gift for recovering old chairs. In the handmade world, we call that "upcycling". As her mobility slowed, we reluctantly closed shop.

The other day, while browsing through old dishes at the local Goodwill, I came across a box of Blue Willow 'look alike' china. The following day, I visited Southern Comforts antique store that was started by some of our antique mall buddies from Kannapolis. They have a small space coming available and it has my name written all over it!
